Hailing from the Shenandoah Valley, The Travelin’ Hillbillies is comprised of four tightknit musicians who have developed a style that is uniquely their own. The band differentiates themselves with sweet southern rock tunes that include hints of bluegrass, rock and roll, folk, blues, and country. Their three-part harmonies have been compared to groups such as The Eagles and Crosby Stills and Nash.

The heart of the group is derived from the Garst family which includes brothers, Ryan, Shay, and Brandon who have been playing music together since they were old enough to pick up instruments. In 2012, they joined forces with long-time friend and powerhouse vocalist Daniel Barnett to create an original band unlike any others currently on the scene.
